Sneak thieves

For anyone who lives here, it's getting even more important to think like a thief.  I know of four laptops that have been stolen in recent days, and they don't stop there.  I had the bicycle saddle stolen from my (unsecured) yard a few weeks ago, and last night an old dog leash that I keep tied to a tree so it's available to tie up my new pup quickly was taken.  Where will it all end?

I am thinking booby traps might be a good option for these sneaky little insects....

Hows about a moat filled with as many man-o-wars one can find and only 1 drawbridge. Then affix punji sticks about 6 feet wide from the inner side of the moat. If that don't work put up some guard towers with 50 caliber machine guns.
