I think in the end that sanity will prevail and something will be done to remove these people. And I do mean remove and nothing else would should satisfy any of us. If you have had any experience of jumping through all the hoops to even get a tourist visa to come to the USA and then have these people break the laws, many laws not just immigration laws, get a free pass is simply not acceptable.
All the politicians that are pandering to Hispanics for votes are going to lose out in the long term because these people if you let them become legal will be the ones that are most vociferous against others coming in and they will turn and bite the hand that let them in. I am completely disgusted by all this. Have you seen how easy it is to come to this country if you are from Africa, for instance Somalia, especially if you are broke, don't speak the language and will be a burden to everyone? On the other hand if you speak English, have a skill and want to be a productive member of the society you are discriminated against - yes actively discriminated against and if you are white you will be doubly discriminated against.
This policy was put in by the democrats that want cultural and racial diversity, or so they say. What they really want ignorant, indolent, welfare seekers to vote for them. A pox on all their houses.

We expected as much but still had a little hope that sanity would over come. At least she is granting the injunction against 4 sections (granted critical) but not the entire law. Now it’s going to get expensive but worth it. I hope the money doesn’t run out and we turn to “woosies”. First round to OTO!

But Bush worked very hard to win the Hispanic votes. He reversed traditional Republican positions opposing the interests of Latinos. He endorsed bilingual education, reversing decades of Republican agitation for English-only policies.
He opposed benefit cuts to documented aliens and rejected out of hand the contention that the children of undocumented workers should be denied public education.
