We (conservatives) have always said how the lame stream news was in the tank for OTO.  Now this comes out.  http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/20/liberal-journalists-reportedly-plotted-protect-candidate-obama-jeremiah-wright/

A group of liberal journalists in 2008 sought to sweep under the rug the Rev. Jeremiah Wright scandal that threatened to derail then-Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller, an online publication founded by Tucker Carlson, a conservative contributor for Fox News.

The documents offer evidence to conservative critics who have long held that the mainstream media were in the tank for Obama, and bolsters the argument that reporters with major news outlets are biased in their coverage.

Journalists working for Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic expressed outrage over the tough questioning Obama received from ABC anchors Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos at a debate and some of them plotted to protect Obama from the swirling controversy, according to the Daily Caller.

Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent pressed his fellow journalists to deflect attention from Obama's relationship with Wright by shifting topics to one of Obama's conservative critics, the Daily Caller reported.

Mr. Clover you have stated that the lame stream news is the only fair news, so what say you now? I know so far it is only being covered by Fox News so I can anticipate what you will say about that.  Wink Also, I happen to think it makes a difference on who you associate with especially long term relationships. ie Rev. Wright and others.

First of all I've never said "the lame stream news is the only fair news".  Shame on you for telling that lie.  I Think I've only referenced Huffington Post and Fox once to show that an AP article bought by Huffington Post, and Fox when re-printed is still an AP article.  Obviously from the last several posts I put up that you cowards refused to comment on referenced a series of right wing news sources that I have book marked and read regularly.  But what difference would that make.  The conspiracy bullshit you guys thrive on only works if you can paint everyone to be conspiring against Fox news and the right wing.  Only Fox has printed this article because every other news source verifies their information before they start the Glenn Beck BS.
I was watching Megyn Kelly this morning when she brought on a representative from the Daily Caller.  No news there.  Let's face it..Fox can't stand it when they break a story without verifiable facts and the rest of the world including Reuters and Bloomberg sit on the sidelines.

From the Fox article:
Journalists working for Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic expressed outrage over the tough questioning Obama received from ABC anchors Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos at a debate and some of them plotted to protect Obama from the swirling controversy, according to the Daily Caller.

So SOME OF THEM (which ones) plotted to protect Obama.  Which ones?  Fox doesn't care.....they just named all of their competition and their job is toget you clowns to hate those news sources and only watch FOX........,mission accomplished!!!!!!!!!

I have extremely right and left wing friends.  My lifelong friend from Georgetown Mass is further right than any of you.  My old college buddy is further left than Che .......WTF difference does that make?  I hang out with both of them.....BFD.  I knew Juan Corona personally...does that make me a serial killer.......you guys crack me up...  Have a f%ck%ing heart attack and keep watching Fox
Now get over your Megyn Kelly tizzy and get on with some real news.

GLENN: Now, why is it that the media doesn't report things? We have long suspected that the media in fact, I have you know what? Let me take it here. I have told you in the past that I didn't believe in a media conspiracy, that I didn't believe that people were calling each other. How many times have you heard me say this? That I didn't believe that the media was, you know, (phone ringing). "Hello. Dan Rather." Oh, sorry, Dan, I got the wrong number. I was calling somebody I thought was important. But the media is not calling each other and... (phone ringing). "Hello. Dan Rather." Oh, jeez, sorry, Dan. I don't know why I keep calling you back. I just thought I was calling somebody that had actually a voice that people would listen to.

That the media is not calling each other up to plot and plan exactly what their next move is (phone ringing). "Hello. Katie Couric." Oh, jeez, I'm sorry. I was trying to reach Dan Rather. He had more juice than you.

But I was wrong. I was wrong. And I told you that I would always correct my mistakes. It was the moment of the greatest peril for then Senator Barack Obama's political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama's pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. Government and America itself. Obama had once bragged closest to right, now the black preacher's rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama's campaign. The crisis reached a howling pitch mid April 2008. ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked a question of Obama why it had taken him so long, nearly a year since Wright's remarks became public to disassociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do? Watching this at home were members of journalists. It is a list serve. What is a list serve?

STU: It's kind of like a shared e mail sort of thing. It's not open to the public. It's a closed loop like, you know, sort of discussion that you can with people, sort of the safety tree.

GLENN: Right. It's like a chat room.

STU: Yeah, kind of.

GLENN: But it's closed.

STU: Yeah, it's like an e mail list server.

GLENN: Comprised of several hundred liberal journalists as well as like minded professors and activists. Tough questioning from ABC anchors left many of them outraged. George Stephanopoulos, quoting, fumed Richard Kim of the nation as being a disgusting little rat snake. Others went further. According to records obtained by the Daily Caller at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign, a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favorite candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico not a surprise there the Huffington Post, Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media and in some cases plotted to fix this damage. In one instance Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama's relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama's conservative critics, Ackerman wrote. Quote: Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares, and call them racists, end quote. Michael Tomasky, a writer from The Guardian also tried to rally his fellow members of journalists, quote: Listen, folks. In my opinion all we have to do, we have to do what we can to kill ABC and this idiocy in whatever venues we have. This isn't about defending Obama. This is about how the mainstream media kills any chance of discourse that actually serves the people, end quote. I'm trying to understand that. This is about how the mainstream media kills any chance of discourse that actually serves the American so in other words, he's claiming that by asking Jeremiah Wright a question, that is the mainstream media, killing any discourse?

STU: Yeah, focusing on things that don't matter to the American people.

PAT: And he's apparently the arbiter of what discourse should and should not happen in this country? That's interesting.

If that ain't the truth, and likewise for Huffington Post.  It's up to the reader to separate the wheat from the chaff.   Wink

Fox News is still the closest to an actual news operation. I am not talking about Glen Beck or Hannity or some of the others but Bret Baer, Shepard Smith and some of the real newspeople do a very credible job delivering actual news. That is simply not true of the other cable or broadcast operations and certainly not true of the NYT and other major newspapers.

Cloven one I can only assume you meant - Tomodachi (??; Huh?; or Huh?) though it seems out of character for you. I do often watch other news organs including the BBC and read four or five foreign newspapers each day (The Telegraph (London) is about the best) (Copenhagen Post, Irish Times, WSJ European edition. I must say that I quite like Megyn Kelly and I don't think you are a communist. I think you are left leaning cynic with overgrown ego. And remember please that Nazi is short National Socialist.

I am actually quite a fan of Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, et al. I frankly could do without Bill O'Reilly and his faux independence and overbearing arrogance but the rest I basically like. My favorite of all the on air personalities though is Charles Krauthammer.

Martin I really like Charles Krauthammer also.  He sits above it all and always has something very interesting to say. Notice how people listen to him and almost never interrupt him.  He is one of the reasons that I like the Bret Baer show so much.  How Krauthammer does it with all the problems he faces daily is beyond me.

Now we find how so called main stream journalists plotted against Sarah Palin as soon as she was picked for VP.   Angry

http://dailycaller.com/2010/07/22/when-mccain-picked-palin-liberal-journalists-coordinated-the-best-line-of-attack/

"
But in many other exchanges, the Journolisters clearly had another, more partisan goal in mind: to formulate the most effective talking points in order to defeat Palin and McCain and help elect Barack Obama president. The tone was more campaign headquarters than newsroom.

The conversation began with a debate over how best to attack Sarah Palin. “Honestly, this pick reeks of desperation,” wrote Michael Cohen of the New America Foundation in the minutes after the news became public. “How can anyone logically argue that Sarah Pallin [sic], a one-term governor of Alaska, is qualified to be President of the United States? Train wreck, thy name is Sarah Pallin.”

Not a wise argument, responded Jonathan Stein, a reporter for Mother Jones. If McCain were asked about Palin’s inexperience, he could simply point to then candidate Barack Obama’s similarly thin resume. “Q: Sen. McCain, given Gov. Palin’s paltry experience, how is she qualified to be commander in chief?,” Stein asked hypothetically. “A: Well, she has much experience as the Democratic nominee.”
